Turning a validated technology into an operating venture
FOOD FOUNDERS Studio builds food technology companies around specific needs of manufacturers. It first identifies a problem customers will pay to solve, then searches universities, corporations and existing ventures for relevant science. The studio assesses performance, intellectual property and licensing feasibility, secures the technology, recruits founders and operators, and helps fund and build the business. Its role combines company creation with an ownership stake in the resulting venture.
Its first venture, SentiaNova, illustrates that process. A licensed technology removes undesirable flavours from plant material before protein concentration or isolation, giving food formulators a more neutral ingredient. SentiaNova plans to use contract manufacturing inside existing protein facilities. Its own site currently offers pea protein concentrate samples and invites formulation trials, while identifying commercial volumes as a Q4 2026 production milestone. The studio is developing additional ventures rather than manufacturing all these products itself.
