India · Healthtech · Robotics

Exobot develops myoelectric bionic hands that translate muscle signals into grip movements, working with amputees and clinical prosthetics partners in India.

Product

Exobot develops bionic prosthetic hands for people with upper-limb loss. Founded by Munish Kumar, the Indian company is incubated at AIC and IHFC at IIT Delhi.

GripX

GripX uses non-invasive electromyography sensors inside the prosthetic socket to detect electrical activity from the wearer’s muscles. An onboard processor converts those signals into commands to open and close the hand.

The company works with prosthetists and clinical partners on assessment, fitting and trials, and provides local servicing and spare parts.
