Elax Énergie equips electric water heaters with connected thermostats and controls heating cycles remotely. The system adapts to household hot-water use and can move consumption to periods when electricity is more readily available, combining energy savings with flexibility for the power grid.
The Paris company has developed its business with social-housing providers and reports installations in nearly 100,000 homes. Its equipment also supports monitoring and predictive maintenance of water heaters.
Elax is extending its technology to collective boiler rooms and building Elax Pro, an installer network for plumbers, electricians and heating specialists. These routes expand its market from social-housing portfolios to other residential buildings and individual households.
