CSignum’s EM2 communications portfolio connects sensors across environments where radio and wired links are difficult, including water, soil, rock, ice and concrete. Its system transfers monitoring data to operators without requiring a cable connection at each sensor.

Utilities and critical-infrastructure operators can use the technology to monitor assets such as water networks and other hard-to-reach infrastructure. Scottish Enterprise reports that CSignum has moved from pilots into volume deployments with water utilities, while the company describes a broader platform spanning below-ground and underwater IoT.
