Creem is a merchant-of-record platform for software and AI sellers, handling checkout, payments, sales tax, invoicing and global compliance.
Creem acts as the merchant of record for software and digital-product sales. Developers connect a checkout or store, and Creem becomes the legal seller to the end customer, processing payments, calculating and collecting indirect taxes, issuing invoices, filing and remitting taxes, and handling refunds and disputes across supported markets.
The platform also supports subscriptions and usage-based billing, payouts, affiliates and revenue splits. Its API, CLI and MCP interfaces let developers and AI agents create products, configure checkouts and manage billing programmatically, so a small software team can sell internationally without building its own payment and tax operation. Creem 2.0 is live; the company describes it as a platform for both human-led software businesses and AI agents.
