Blackswan Space builds simulation software and autonomous-navigation hardware that help satellite operators design, test and carry out complex missions in orbit.
Blackswan Space’s Mission Design Simulator gives satellite integrators and operators a real-time environment to prototype and test space missions. It models orbital mechanics, rendezvous and docking, moving ground assets and large constellations, and supports Monte Carlo analysis, hardware- and software-in-the-loop testing, synthetic visual data, Python APIs and MATLAB/Simulink integration. Teams can assess mission scenarios before relying on costly spacecraft hardware or flight operations.
The RPO Kit is a plug-and-play spacecraft payload for rendezvous, proximity operations and docking. Its vision-based navigation stack identifies and tracks a target spacecraft, estimates relative position and orientation, and supports autonomous maneuvers such as inspection and in-orbit servicing. Blackswan says the system combines machine-learning vision with marker-based methods and is being matured through ESA testing; it is a development-stage payload rather than a broadly deployed flight product. The two products address complementary parts of satellite autonomy: simulation and onboard execution.
