Ayar Labs builds co-packaged optical interconnects that connect processors and GPUs in large AI systems.
Ayar Labs’ TeraPHY optical engine converts electrical data from a processor or accelerator into optical signals and sends it over fiber; SuperNova supplies the multi-wavelength light. Integrated alongside customer chips, the components create high-bandwidth, low-latency links between GPUs across a system or data-center rack.
The products address a growing bottleneck as AI clusters scale beyond copper interconnects. Ayar works with semiconductor, accelerator and switch partners to integrate the technology into standard packaging and manufacturing flows, and is expanding validation and its manufacturing ecosystem ahead of high-volume production.
