Protecting the brain after acute injury

Astrocyte’s lead programme, AST-004, targets astrocytes to support the brain’s own protective and repair mechanisms. The treatment is being developed to limit secondary damage to vulnerable tissue following an acute injury.

The company has completed two Phase 1 safety studies and advanced AST-004 into Phase 2 development. Its work includes the STARFAST study in sports-related concussion.
