ArcSpace develops electron-beam tools that spacecraft operators can use to repair, assemble and manufacture structures in orbit.

Working on satellites without service interfaces

The compact tool cuts, joins and welds materials in a vacuum. It is designed for integration into satellites and lunar rovers, with an initial focus on servicing spacecraft that were not built with standard repair connections.

ArcSpace reports completing vacuum and vibration qualification tests. Its roadmap begins with tools for extending satellite life and deorbiting, followed by assembly of larger structures in orbit and on the Moon. These are planned applications rather than an operating orbital service.
