Monitoring phenylalanine between clinical visits

Aptatek’s HomeCheck platform combines an aptamer-enabled handheld reader with a single-use cartridge. A fingerstick blood sample produces a quantitative result intended to be shared with a patient’s care team.

PheCheck is the platform’s first application, designed for people with phenylketonuria. It has FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and is undergoing clinical evaluation. The device remains investigational and is not FDA-cleared or commercially available.
