Anaconda Biomed develops funnel-shaped thrombectomy catheters that help neurointerventional physicians remove clots during treatment of large-vessel-occlusion stroke.
Anaconda Biomed’s ANA catheter platform is designed for mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke. Its self-expanding funnel temporarily restricts blood flow around a clot, supporting aspiration during retrieval and helping capture clot material while reducing the risk of fragments traveling downstream.
The portfolio is built for neurointerventional teams and includes the CE-marked ANA5 catheter; the company is also developing additional devices and conducting the ATHENA pivotal US IDE study. The study is evaluating the safety and performance of the ANA Funnel Catheter, which remains investigational in the United States.
