Grant agreement preparation
The European Commission selected XFuel’s CATREF project for grant-agreement preparation on October 19. The allocation remains undisclosed and the contract is pending.
CATREF would deploy a Spanish plant using Chemical Liquid Refining to convert marine oily waste and residues into marine gas oil. XFuel’s approach treats contaminated hydrocarbon liquids to make drop-in fuels, aiming to work with existing vessels and fuelling infrastructure.
