From divorce agreements to unpaid bills
wakai is developing a service for small unpaid bills that would help businesses and customers discuss workable payment terms, including instalments or revised dates. It builds on the company’s online divorce-mediation workflow, where a neutral lawyer helps participants organise disputed issues and reach agreement.
A September project involving 100 couples is intended to improve the divorce service using feedback from users and mediators. The company is applying that operating experience to a broader dispute-resolution platform.
Planned AI tools will assist with information organisation and communication. The company’s design keeps case-specific legal judgment and negotiation with people.
