Viabot raises $24m Series A for autonomous cleaning robots
Walden International led the round for a robotics-as-a-service platform that cleans commercial properties and returns to its dock without staff driving each route.
Autonomous cleaning as a managed service
Viabot One follows mapped routes to sweep trash and debris at commercial properties, then empties its load into a standard rolling bin and returns to a charging station. Cameras, lidar, depth sensors and GPS help the robot navigate sites and perform scheduled work; the company also describes features such as loitering detection and asset monitoring.
Viabot provides remote monitoring, maintenance and replacement parts as part of its robotics-as-a-service model. Facility teams handle the collected waste while the company maintains the machine and its cleaning workflow.
