Hydrogen from existing industrial processes

H2Gen uses energy in off-gases to produce hydrogen through an electrochemical process, without an external electricity supply for that conversion. The modular equipment integrates into existing plants in sectors such as steel, refining and chemicals. A separate concentrated carbon dioxide stream can be captured.

Commercial deployment

The first Series D close will support manufacturing capacity, delivery teams and projects across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Partnerships named in the announcement include Kyocera, Symbio, Maas Energy Works and ArcelorMittal. Ara Partners remains the majority investor.
