A different target for acute migraine

Elismetrep is designed to block TRPM8, an ion channel involved in neural signalling relevant to migraine. It is being studied as an oral treatment taken for an acute attack. The company has begun a pivotal Phase 3 trial and a long-term safety study, with a second pivotal trial planned for October 2026.

Financing the pivotal programme

The $94 million financing was co-led by The Column Group, TCGX and Viking Global Investors. It will support the clinical development of elismetrep, with first Phase 3 results anticipated in mid-2027. The funding accompanies Kallyope’s relaunch as TriGemX Bio and the appointment of Jeff Goater as CEO.
