Town raises $55m Series A for a personal AI work assistant

Town announced a $55 million Series A on June 3, 2026, led by Andreessen Horowitz. Forerunner Ventures, First Round Capital, Alt Capital and Conviction joined the financing.
The company set three priorities for the capital: make its assistant more capable, deepen its connections to the tools people already use and broaden access beyond a narrow technical audience. The planned improvements included more proactive assistance and support for teams.
Its product learns a person’s work context across email, calendars, messages and documents, then helps carry out tasks in those tools. Town’s founders are betting that an assistant which adapts to an existing routine can reach users who do not want to configure AI tools themselves.
