The Boring Company raises $3bn Series D to scale tunnel and Loop projects
The round backs engineering and production hires, Loop deployments and further Prufrock development as the company expands projects in Las Vegas, Nashville and Dubai.
Tunnels and passenger networks
The Boring Company combines tunnel construction with underground Loop passenger transport. Its custom Prufrock machines are designed to launch and be retrieved without a conventional launch pit, part of a vertically integrated approach that links the tunnelling equipment with the transport system built inside the tunnels.
The Series D funds work across engineering, operations and production, as well as Loop projects in Las Vegas, Nashville and Dubai. The company also says its UAE partnership covers more than 150 kilometres of planned underground infrastructure, putting deployment and construction capacity at the centre of the financing.
