telMAX raises $215m through investment and credit facility
The Ontario fibre operator secured a $105m structured investment and a separate $110m credit facility to extend its network and expand service.
Capital for an expanding fibre footprint
Hamilton Lane-managed funds provided the structured investment, while Power Sustainable Infrastructure Credit, Palistar Capital and MidStar Capital provided the credit facility. The two-part financing supports telMAX’s plans to build out its own fibre-to-the-home network and scale its operating and go-to-market teams.
telMAX designs and runs the network that carries its residential internet, television and home-phone services, rather than relying on a copper last mile. Its footprint spans communities across Ontario, where the company also offers fibre connectivity to business customers.
