Surge Games has raised $3 million in pre-seed funding led by Play Ventures, with participation from Drilo Ventures and Simya VC. The studio announced the round on August 24.
Its first release, Twin Tiles!, gives the team a live product on iOS and Android as it develops a broader production model. Surge integrates AI across game development, art and user acquisition, seeking to make rapid testing practical for a small team. The investment backs that approach at an early stage, with further games intended to build on what the studio learns from each launch.
