Scimplify raises $25 million with customers joining investor group
Hitachi Ventures led the strategic financing, with Henkel and Teknor Apex among the new backers.
Scimplify has raised $25 million in strategic financing led by Hitachi Ventures. Accel, Bertelsmann India Investments, Omnivore and 3one4 Capital participated, alongside new investors Henkel and Teknor Apex.
Henkel and Teknor Apex are also customers, giving the round a direct connection to the company’s commercial relationships. Teknor Apex will additionally become a manufacturing partner for its US expansion. Scimplify develops processes for producing specialty chemicals and advanced materials, then scales them through manufacturing facilities. The participation of a production partner matters for a business whose delivery depends on moving chemistry from the laboratory into repeatable manufacturing.
