Video generation as a foundation

Runway’s Gen-4.5 creates video from prompts, with work focused on motion, visual consistency and control over the output. Its world-model research builds on predicting successive frames to learn how objects move and actions affect a scene.

Funding larger model development

The Series E brings together growth investors, chipmakers and Adobe Ventures. Runway plans to use the financing for new model pre-training and product development as it extends its research beyond existing creative applications.
