Robigo secures Series A funding for biological crop protection
Leaps by Bayer led the undisclosed round to advance Robigo’s engineered microbial products for crop disease control.
Microbes designed to target crop pathogens
Robigo uses synthetic biology to engineer microbes that target pests and plant diseases. Its ARGO platform applies computationally designed biological agents intended to silence essential genes in pathogens, with development programs focused on fungal disease in soybeans and specialty crops.
The company says the Series A will support commercial launch efforts in the United States and expansion into additional soil-borne pathogens affecting broadacre crops. The financing amount was not disclosed.
