River Mobility raises $120m Series C in equity and debt

Elev8 Venture Partners and Claypond Capital lead financing for the Indian electric scooter maker.

Capital for the next production stage

The round brings Indian institutional investors into River’s next phase of growth alongside existing backers Yamaha Motor, Al-Futtaim Group and Mitsui. The package combines primary equity with a smaller venture debt component supplied by Alteria Capital, InnoVen Capital and Stride Ventures.

River is moving beyond the initial scale-up of its Indie scooter towards a broader product range and manufacturing footprint. The new financing follows rising sales and is intended to turn that demand into higher production capacity.
