Reimagine Robotics discloses pre-seed backing as it leaves stealth
Fly Ventures and firstminute capital backed the company’s first phase of development.
Reimagine Robotics disclosed pre-seed financing from Fly Ventures, firstminute capital and angel investors in its August 3 launch announcement. The funding supported the company’s first phase; a further fundraising round is planned. The amount was not disclosed.
Testing robots in production workflows
The company is already working on tasks such as tending 3D printers and disassembling electronics. Workers teach and correct the robots directly, allowing changes to be made alongside the production process.
Reimagine says one hard-drive disassembly project reduced the time needed to prototype and test a new behaviour from about a day to roughly ten minutes. Its next deployment phase will test whether experience from one workplace makes subsequent installations easier.
