Quartermaster closes Series B with equity and debt financing
SmartMast sensors give fleets real-time data beyond standard vessel-tracking signals.

The company’s SmartMast units capture and relay maritime data that goes beyond AIS location pings. That can help shipping operators, governments and insurers monitor congestion, avoid collisions and improve awareness across routes where real-time information is scarce.
The Series B combines about $100 million of equity with a separate $40 million debt facility from Stifel. Quartermaster says more than 650 vessels across 25 countries are equipped and it has shipped over 800 units as it prepares larger fleet deployments.
