QpiAI raises $32 million Series A for utility-scale quantum computing
Avataar Ventures and India’s National Quantum Mission co-lead the financing.
Existing and new investors also participated, according to the company’s announcement. The National Quantum Mission sits within India’s Department of Science and Technology and supports development of the country’s quantum ecosystem.
QpiAI had developed a full computing stack combining proprietary quantum hardware and software, with applications in materials science and drug discovery. At the financing announcement, the company described commercial work with automotive and life-sciences customers and a team including more than two dozen researchers with doctorates.
