Prado Power secures senior debt for Nigerian solar mini-grids
Camco’s REPP 2 financing supports five mini-grids with battery storage; the loan amount was not disclosed.
Reported on 1 October 2026, the facility will support construction and operation of the projects. Transaction counsel TEMPLARS identified Camco REPP 2 Holdings One SCSP as the financing vehicle for the loan to Prado Power Group.
The projects serve communities in North-Central Nigeria and combine electricity access with productive uses such as business and agricultural activity. Construction also benefits from the World Bank’s DARES programme, facilitated by Nigeria’s Rural Electrification Agency.
