Popcorn Studio AI secures $1m pre-seed for AI filmmaking
Mohammed Bin Bouta Alharsoosi leads financing for the Dubai creative technology company.
Popcorn Studio AI has announced a $1 million pre-seed funding package led by Emirati entrepreneur and investor Mohammed Bin Bouta Alharsoosi. The financing was first reported on 18 October 2026.
The company, founded by Shady Essam and Mohamed Hedar, combines concept development, character and scene generation, voiceovers and post-production tools in one platform. Its focus on Arabic lip-syncing and regional dialects is designed for filmmakers, creators and brands producing content for Arabic-speaking audiences.
The capital will support AI technology development, a broader product suite and expansion across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Popcorn also plans to build international partnerships to extend its reach.
