Novadip secures convertible financing as its bone-regeneration therapy advances
Novadip’s lead cell-based therapy is in a pivotal trial for a rare pediatric bone-healing disorder, bringing the company closer to a potential US regulatory submission.
A graft built from a patient’s own cells
Novadip’s lead candidate, NVD-003, is an autologous graft made from adipose-derived stem cells and a supporting extracellular matrix. Designed to be moldable, it delivers cells and regenerative signals at the injury site to help repair large bone defects.
The pivotal Phase 3 study is evaluating NVD-003 for congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia, a rare condition in which a child’s shin bone does not heal properly after fracture. The program targets a difficult reconstructive need where a therapy must support bone formation at the defect itself.
Financing the late-stage transition
The convertible financing is tied to a consequential point in the program: completing pivotal clinical evaluation and preparing a US Biologics License Application. That work would move NVD-003 from late-stage testing toward a regulatory decision, while the trial remains the key evidence step before any treatment claim can be established.
