Nearhuman raises £350,000 pre-seed for micromobility safety technology

SFC Capital leads funding for on-device computer vision, with a live Bristol pilot under way.

Nearhuman announced £350,000 in pre-seed financing on 6 October 2026, led by SFC Capital. The Bristol company will use the investment for product development, on-street testing and commercial deployment.

Its camera modules and on-device computer vision identify pavement riding, pedestrian near-misses and road hazards on shared scooters and bicycles. Video is processed and redacted on board, providing safety information to operators and local authorities.

Founded by Faizan Mir at Bristol Robotics Laboratory, Nearhuman is running a live pilot in Bristol as it develops the technology for wider use.
