The founder-led cash infusion accompanied a larger transfer of existing securities into the financial-services company.
Navi Technologies received ₹332.28 crore in cash equity from Sachin Bansal, co-founder Ankit Agarwal and other individual investors in a financing reported on 2 April 2020. The company allotted about 2.37 crore shares for cash at ₹140.50 each.
Founder capital and additional investors
Bansal supplied approximately ₹253 crore in cash and Agarwal approximately ₹40 crore. Other subscribers included Paresh and Sangeeta Sukthankar jointly, Samit Shankar Shetty and Anand Rao.
Alongside the cash subscriptions, Bansal transferred existing financial securities valued at approximately ₹2,675.09 crore into Navi. Those assets accounted for most of the widely reported ₹3,007 crore transaction value; the cash raised was ₹332.28 crore.
