mutex raises ¥281.6m Series A for medical-claims software
The Tokyo company is expanding Reze, an AI tool that checks billing data for missed charges and claim errors before submission.
Checking claims before they leave the clinic
Reze imports data from existing medical-billing and electronic-health-record systems, then flags potentially missed reimbursements and defects in claims for staff to review and correct. The workflow targets pre-submission checks, where complex billing rules and differences between institutions can create omissions or returned claims.
The product is already used by multiple medical institutions. mutex plans to extend Reze from inspection into claims creation, correction and submission, moving toward a more complete billing workflow while keeping staff review central to current checks.
