MUKA announces ¥80m in loans and a grant award for Amakusa distillery
The botanical-spirits company combines bank borrowing with support for a regional production project.
The package consists of ¥50 million in coordinated loans from Japan Finance Corporation and Kumamoto Bank, plus selection for a ¥30 million regional economic circulation grant. The announcement describes a grant award rather than confirming its disbursement.
Founded in April 2026, MUKA links its distillery project to local botanical cultivation and employment. Bringing growing and production together is central to the business it wants to establish in Amakusa.
Use of funds
Build the Amakusa distillery and install distillation equipment, tanks and boilers.
Expand botanical cultivation, initial inventory and brand marketing for domestic and East Asian markets.
