Motion raises $2m pre-seed to deploy humanoids in European factories

Extantia leads the financing as the Brussels operator prepares to turn five Belgian pilots into production deployments.

Taking pilot tasks into production

At its August funding announcement, Motion said it was running five pilots with industrial, warehouse and logistics customers in Belgium. The tasks include loading crates, packing containers into boxes and placing parts onto conveyor belts.

The company is also opening its platform to system integrators and automation specialists that want to deploy humanoids for their own customers. Alongside its direct deployments, that creates a second route to market for the service.
