Mistlabs backs Ambi expansion with Pre-A financing
Luminous Ventures and Huaqin lead the financing as the ambient AI developer launches on Apple devices and prepares a wearable.
Mistlabs announced completed Pre-A financing on 12 October 2026, naming Luminous Ventures and Huaqin Technology as lead investors. The San Francisco company is using the capital to develop a standalone AI wearable and expand its Ambi assistant.
Ambi uses context from conversations and connected services to provide suggestions and prepare work as a meeting unfolds. It launched on iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac, with persistent memory intended to carry context between devices.
Founder Peter Mo previously worked at Plaud. Mistlabs plans to extend Ambi into a dedicated wearable and enable communication between users’ AI agents.
