Medici Brands raises $250m Series B to scale David and HallPass
The consumer-food group will extend its protein products and expand HallPass as it builds infrastructure for additional brands.
Scaling packaged-food brands around nutrition
Medici Brands develops and scales consumer food brands including David protein bars, shakes and frozen desserts, HallPass confectionery, and Epogee, a plant-based fat ingredient. The portfolio targets shoppers who want familiar packaged-food formats with higher protein or fewer calories.
Greenoaks and Valor Equity co-led the $250 million Series B. Medici will expand HallPass’s retail presence and product range, extend David into new formats and categories, and invest in the infrastructure needed to launch brands such as Rowdy. Its products are already sold in more than 35,000 retail locations, giving the company a broad base for extending its portfolio.
