Medcotec raises over £2.4m for powder-transfer valves
The investment will fund trials, commercialisation and hiring for its Helyx technology.
Medcotec has raised more than £2.4 million from NPIF II – Mercia Equity Finance, LYVA Labs, the Liverpool City Region Seed Fund and private investors. Mercia Ventures manages the NPIF II equity fund.
The Daresbury company will use the funding for further product trials and to expand its team. Its Helyx valve is designed to reduce contamination and blockages when manufacturers transfer powders, particularly during shorter production runs.
