Magnar raises $8m Series A to expand legal AI across Latin America
The capital will grow Magnar’s legal research and drafting platform across Latin American jurisdictions, with expansion plans for Brazil and Mexico.
Legal research grounded in local sources
Magnar takes a lawyer’s objective, searches jurisdiction-specific legislation and case law, and returns cited material that professionals can inspect. Lawyers can then analyse matters and draft or review documents in tools such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
The platform is used across law firms in several Latin American markets. The company reports about 30,000 users across 350 firms in seven countries, giving it a regional base for further product development and commercial expansion.
Building regional teams and reach
6 Degrees Capital and Hi Ventures led the $8 million Series A. Magnar plans to grow its development team, improve the product, deepen its presence in existing markets and build commercial teams in Brazil and Mexico.
