LuxSilicon completes Angel+ financing for optical interconnect chips
The Shanghai chip designer brings in early-stage investors as it develops silicon-photonic links for computing systems.
LuxSilicon completed an Angel+ financing disclosed on June 23, with the amount undisclosed. Backers include Zhangjiang Suifeng II Fund, Shuimu Tsinghua Alumni Seed Fund and Longxin Venture Capital.
A route into computing hardware
The company designs optical I/O components for data centres and high-performance computing. Its partnership with Muchuang puts its silicon-photonic engine and co-packaging technology into a jointly developed smart network card, connecting its chip work to a system-level product.
