Lokal raises $700,000 from Invexor’s Discovery II fund
The Chilean retailer-supply marketplace’s founders retain more than 75% of the business after the investment.
Building on a network of independent shops
Lokal connects more than 500 suppliers with over 3,500 retailers across about 260 Chilean municipalities. It aims to bring digital purchasing tools to more than 100,000 small shops.
The investment follows an earlier $100,000 financing in 2022. Its proposed AI recommendations would help owners decide what to buy and when to replenish stock, extending the marketplace beyond order placement.
