Laki Power raises €6m Series A to scale power-line monitoring deployments
The Icelandic company’s self-powered sensor stations give utilities continuous visibility into remote transmission lines.
Monitoring where the grid runs
Laki Power builds monitoring stations that mount directly on high-voltage conductors and draw power from the line. Cameras, weather and line sensors, onboard computing and satellite communications let utilities monitor remote sections without installing separate power and communications infrastructure.
Turning field data into operator decisions
The stations stream visual and sensor data and process selected signals on board, helping operators spot conditions such as smoke or ice loading. Laki says its systems are already deployed with utilities in Iceland, Norway and Canada; the Series A will support manufacturing scale-up and expansion across Europe, North America and Australia.
