Josan-she’s raises ¥400m Series A to expand maternal-care services
The company connects families with specialist midwives and creates flexible work opportunities for the same professionals.
Connecting families and midwives beyond the hospital
Josan-she’s provides in-home care for newborns, operates postpartum-care facilities and supplies midwives to maternity hospitals. Families gain access to qualified support after birth, while midwives can take on work that fits around changes in their own lives and schedules. The model links unmet demand for specialist maternal care with a workforce of licensed professionals who may otherwise have limited opportunities to use their training.
