Jinkong Technology raises Angel funding for space robots

CDH VGC leads financing for robotic components and planned in-orbit validation.

Jinkong Technology has completed an Angel round led by CDH VGC. The October 26 announcement described tens of millions of renminbi in financing, with participation from Shanghai Jiao Tong Hanyuan Assets, Guoke Green Fund and Zhejiang Lingqiao Intelligent Technology.

The proceeds will support core space-robotics components, in-orbit validation and product engineering. Founded by Shanghai Jiao Tong University professor He Jun, Jinkong develops control hardware and robotic systems for servicing satellites and, eventually, manufacturing in orbit.

Jinkong plans a component-validation flight in late 2026 and an orbital demonstration of its Jinkong No.1 robot in mid 2027. The planned demonstration includes tool changes and connector handling, tasks that could support maintenance of orbital computing facilities.
