iPRONICS raises $125M Series B led by NVIDIA for programmable photonic computing
The round will accelerate development and commercialisation of silicon-photonics switching technology designed to reconfigure high-bandwidth links in AI data centres.
Reconfiguring connections inside AI clusters
iPRONICS' optical circuit switches use silicon photonics to change how compute systems connect across and within data-centre racks. Its programmable platform lets infrastructure teams reconfigure optical paths as AI clusters grow, addressing the network links between increasingly dense compute systems.
The $125 million Series B, led by NVIDIA, is intended to speed development and commercialisation of the technology. That investment supports iPRONICS' move from photonics research into deployments for data-centre and AI infrastructure developers.
