iCUREX raises ¥140m to scale its wound-care device
The Series A first close combines ¥100m in preferred equity with a ¥40m Japan Finance Corporation loan.
iCUREX has secured ¥140 million in a Series A first close to expand production and market rollout of its Kitosla CX wound dressing. NCB Venture Capital led the ¥100 million preferred-share financing, joined by Green Core and INDEP. Japan Finance Corporation supplied a further ¥40 million in debt.
The Kagoshima company develops chitosan hydrogel medical materials. Kitosla CX is delivered through a syringe to cover narrow and irregularly shaped wounds. It received Japanese medical-device approval in May 2026 and launched commercially in September.
The capital will fund manufacturing capacity, quality management, materials procurement and next-generation product development. The company is considering a second Series A close.
