Hydrosat adds $10 million in Series B extension from Suma Capital’s climate fund
SC Net Zero Ventures invested to support Hydrosat’s expansion in Spain and development of its thermal satellite and water-management products.
Hydrosat has secured a $10 million Series B extension from Suma Capital through its SC Net Zero Ventures fund. The investment follows the $60 million financing announced in January and adds Suma Capital to the thermal-imaging company’s shareholder base.
The proceeds will support expansion in Spain, growth of its engineering and commercial teams, and continued satellite constellation development. Hydrosat also plans to develop products for water-resource management, infrastructure monitoring and wildfire detection.
Hydrosat’s IrriWatch platform converts satellite temperature measurements into irrigation and crop-management intelligence. At the announcement, the company said IrriWatch served more than 90 customers in over 70 countries through subscriptions for farmland analytics and thermal data.
