HomeExchange secures investment from Verlinvest to grow home swapping
The undisclosed investment will support a membership network where travellers exchange homes directly or use GuestPoints to arrange stays at different times.
A swap network with flexible timing
HomeExchange members list their homes and arrange stays with other members. Reciprocal exchanges work when two households can travel at the same time; GuestPoints let a host earn points for welcoming someone and use them for a later stay elsewhere.
The company says its network spans 155 countries and more than 600,000 homes. Membership and a trust-based community underpin the marketplace, while the points system removes the need for every exchange to be a direct, date-matched swap.
Investment for wider adoption
Verlinvest made an investment in HomeExchange to accelerate global adoption of home swapping. The amount and financing instrument were not disclosed. The announcement adds a new backer as the company seeks to grow a mature member network rather than launch a new travel product.
