Harajuku Tokyo Café raises $3m to expand its café and bakehouse formats
Zero W leads a pre-Series A round supporting new outlets and central kitchens in India.
Zero W led the financing, joined by returning investors Indian Angel Network and Samved VC. New backers included Blume Founders Fund, Brijesh Parekh Family Office and Epigamia co-founder Rahul Jain. The round follows Harajuku's separate seed financing in August 2025.
The company plans to open ten outlets over the next two quarters across Delhi NCR and Mumbai while entering Bengaluru and Chandigarh. Central kitchens planned for Mumbai and Bengaluru would supply its bakehouses and support packaged food production in western and southern India.
Bakery sales are becoming a larger part of the business: Harajuku says Bakehouse contributes more than 30% of revenue. Its expansion combines sit-down restaurants with a format that can reach customers through delivery and quick-commerce distribution.
