Groq closes $350m Series A for its inference-cloud expansion
Disruptive leads the round at a $3.5bn valuation, adding to the $650m raised in June as Groq builds computing capacity.
More capacity for training and inference
The financing supports medium and larger NVIDIA computing clusters for customers running AI training and inference. Groq said NVIDIA planned to participate in the round; the announcement did not describe that participation as completed.
At the announcement, Groq operated 13 data centers across four regions and planned to increase capacity from 54 megawatts to more than 200 in 2027. The August financing brings the two recently announced rounds to $1bn, supporting the company’s expansion as an AI cloud provider.
